CEO Jennifer Garza Welcomes You
Here at Edinburg Children's Hospital, we are committed to kids and their families. As the only freestanding children's hospital in the Rio Grande Valley, we offer a wide range of services just for little ones — a dedicated pediatric emergency room, a four-story pediatric tower dedicated to general pediatrics, surgical services and a pediatric intensive care unit.
We are one of the few asthma programs in the United States designated as a Center of Excellence and we specialize in treating diabetes and hormonal disorders in children through the Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Institute.
The Ronald McDonald Room, an in-hospital Subway restaurant, and boldly colored, kid-friendly murals from renowned artist Roark Gourley enable parents and guardians to participate fully in their child's recovery because they don't have to go far to get away from the stresses of being in a hospital setting. It is our goal to manage children's healthcare efficiently, comfortably and with the least fear and pain as possible.
Our nurses, doctors, child life specialists, volunteers and the myriad of special visitors we receive — from big singing acts to local sports teams and guest readers — transforms Edinburg Children's Hospital into a special place for all involved in providing quality healthcare for our future generations.
We are committed to civic and community causes are the thousands of dollars and hours donated by South Texas Health System — and Edinburg Children's Hospital specifically — to local charitable, educational and non-profit organization.
We invite you to our facility anytime for a tour, to volunteer or to visit our special patients. Thank you!
